Brian Harrington, MBA
Principal
Brian is an experienced business and P&L owner with a focus on new product and service development. He is an avid fly-fishermen with a vested interest in preserving our natural aquatic environments for generations to come.
Jennifer James
Controller
Jennifer has been working with SeaCrest Group as the controller since 2007. Her educational background includes accounting, finance, human resources, and small business development. In her spare time, she enjoys camping and traveling with her family, friends, and dogs.
Haley West
Senior Laboratory Manager
Haley received her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University. After moving to a landlocked state, she switched her focus to the environmental science field. This led her to receive a position as an Aquatic Toxicologist with SeaCrest Group in 2020. She has since worked her way up to Senior Laboratory Manager, where she spends a majority of her time communicating with clients, overseeing staff, and conducting research to help improve the lab. She recently received her Analyst I certification through RMWQAA and hopes to receive her Analyst II certification in the future. Haley spends her spare time working with mammals at Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, volunteering at the Denver Zoo, and watching sports (Skol Vikings).
Cat McDonald
Laboratory Manager
Cat McDonald is the current Laboratory Manager. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus in Aquatic Ecology from Tarleton State University. Upon moving to Colorado in 2022, Cat started at SeaCrest Group as an Aquatic Toxicologist. Now as a Laboratory Manager, she focuses on supervising the day-to-day operations of WET testing, running statistical analysis, writing reports for clients, and expanding the lab's in-house culturing operations. She has also recently received her Analyst I certification through RMWQAA. When not working she loves to read, spend time with her partner and dog, and bake.
Daniela Thornton
Laboratory Manager
Daniela started with SeaCrest Group over 10 years ago before taking time off to raise her kids. She returned in 2019 and has been able to learn and work in all facets of the job. She supports the office, works in the lab, and aids in the training of new technicians. In addition, she currently maintains the lab inventory and oversees the yearly DMR-QA process. Daniela studied Molecular Biology at the University of Ulm in Germany, where she is from, and received the equivalent of a Master of Science. When she is not at work, she loves hanging out with her family and enjoying her backyard.
Lindsey Muniz
Lead Aquatic Toxicologist
As the Lead Aquatic Toxicologist, Lindsey spends her day-to-day performing WET testing, culturing in-house organisms, running statistics, writing reports for clients, and ensuring quality control within the laboratory. She was first introduced to the field of biology through volunteering with the Pueblo Zoo, which led her to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at Colorado State University. Lindsey was recently awarded two 1st place awards from the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry for her research on benthic macroinvertebrates and hopes to publish her findings within the next year. When Lindsey isn't working, she loves to hike, read, and spend quality time with her fiancé and pup.
Aurora Nelson
Aquatic Toxicologist II
Aurora received her Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the University of Washington. After graduation, she moved to Colorado to take an aquatics internship at the Butterfly Pavilion. Now she uses her hands-on experience with water chemistry and animal care to perform WET testing at SeaCrest Group.
Mia Kohler
Aquatic Toxicologist II
Mia possesses a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo. During her time there she was involved in several research labs with topics ranging from infant feeding experiences and obesity correlations to freshwater science and behavioral ecology. In her current position as an Aquatic Toxicologist II, she focuses on conducting WET tests, performing general chemistries, running statistics, writing reports for clients, and culturing specimens. Outside of work, Mia is in the process of earning her certification in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and living the traditional Colorado lifestyle of enjoying outdoor hobbies, no matter the weather.
